Why WalkThere exists
A list of attractions can tell you what is famous. It rarely tells you how a place unfolds, what the transitions feel like, or whether the atmosphere is right for you. WalkThere joins geographically ordered scenes with editorial context so that discovery becomes a considered travel decision.
How we build a journey
We review public street-level imagery, arrange accepted scenes into an editorial sequence, and pair them with facts from identified sources. When imagery is discontinuous, nearby, or contextual rather than exact, we say so instead of presenting it as a continuous verified walk.
Our editorial standard
- Travel facts are connected to named sources.
- History, tradition, and legend are distinguished from one another.
- Documentary photographs retain creator, source, licence, and modification details.
- Current access, safety, weather, and opening information must be checked again before travel.
Where the product is today
WalkThere is currently a focused demonstration, not a booking service, social network, or comprehensive world map. We are testing whether immersive, evidence-aware destination stories help people make better decisions before they go.
